The 6th annual Portola Railroad Days were held last weekend.
The Plumas County Board of Supervisors approved a low bid of $236,910 to construct a 1,000 square foot special purpose juvenile hall to be built near the Plumas County jail and the Plumas County Sheriff's office in East Quincy.

The statewide election to recall California State Governor Gray Davis will cost Plumas County taxpayers between $50,000 and $75,000 when voters head to the polls October 7.
