The inaugural Plumas County Senior Summit is scheduled for Monday, July 22, at the Quincy Veterans Hall on Lawrence Street from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
According to Nancy Lund, chairwoman of the Plumas County Commission on Aging, the event is called a “summit” because it will be a countywide meeting of seniors and others concerned about elders. It will be an opportunity to discuss and plan for transportation, health issues and legal services for seniors with any changes for the many programs coming from California and the federal government.
This event is sponsored by the Plumas County Commission on Aging and county health services. Lunch will be provided for those making reservations by calling 283-0643 by Friday, July 19.
For more information call Nancy Lund at 284-7206 or Louise Steenkamp at 283-6453.
