A different take on the poker run was held last Saturday, as 40 kayakers took to Bucks Lake to participate in the Kayak Poker Run hosted by Lakeshore Resort. Participants in the poker run got the chance to get lucky while also enjoying the pristine lake and getting in shape.
Kayakers brought their own vessels and paddled out to different spots on the lake to receive their cards. A short break was taken at noon to allow a light lunch provided by Lakeshore.
“It was a beautiful day on the lake and everyone who participated had a lot of fun,” said Lakeshore’s owner, Kim Henderson.
The best hand went to Ron Overbeke who walked away with a $75 prize. Judy Hines II gathered the second best hand, with her husband, Jack Hines, received the third best hand.
