Almanor residents chill to Brews and a Banjo

The slight breeze and blazing sun make for a beautiful day in Chester Park during Plumas Arts’ fundraiser A Few Brews & A Banjo on June 22. Proceeds collected were donated to the Chester High School music and drama departments. Local bands Edgewater and The Back 40 entertained the crowd while microbrew tasters explored more than 40 brews from Northern California, and as far away as New York. The Elks’ tri-tip lunch was delicious — as always — and the breeze off the river was the perfect counterpoint to the warm sun. Photo by Jan Davies
