Quincy Natural Foods offers local grant opportunities

  Quincy Natural Foods’ Cooperative Community Fund is now accepting 2013 grant applications.

  Quincy Natural Foods and Twin Pines Cooperative Foundation established the Quincy Natural Foods Cooperative Community Fund in 2005 to provide financial support to local nonprofit organizations.

  A total of $600 will be donated in 2013.

  Granting criteria:

  Grants will be given to nonprofit and/or cooperative organizations.

  Grants will be given to organizations whose purpose and activities address these issues:

  —Agriculture, food and hunger.




  Preference will be given to organizations based and operating in the local area.

  Preference will be given to organizations with annual budgets of less than $50,000.


  Funds may not be used for political or lobbying efforts.

  Quincy Natural Foods Cooperative requests that funds be spent locally whenever possible.

  To apply, pick up an application at Quincy Natural Foods Co-op or online at qnf.coop.

  The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, July 12.
