Lake Almanor resident, neurosurgeon and author Jeffrey M. Lobosky, M.D., will make a presentation to the community on the future of health care in America on Saturday, May 25, 6 p.m. at Books & Beyond in Chester.
Lobosky serves as associate clinical professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at UC San Francisco and is co-director of the Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit at Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
Lobosky will also be available to sign copies of his book, “It’s Enough to Make You Sick.” According to Books & Beyond co-owner Susan Bryner, “‘It’s Enough to Make You Sick’ is a thoughtful, balanced and well-researched look at the health care system in America. It is not simply another indictment of the failures of our current health care system. Lobosky has taken the time, and the risk, to lay out proposed solutions that are well worth reading.”
This is an opportunity to meet the author and discuss the issues over wine and appetizers. The book signing will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with the presentation “Obamacare: Mission Accomplished?” at 6 p.m.
