On Saturday, April 20, there will be an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bargain Boutique. It’s to commutate its move a year ago to its new bigger and better location at 405 Main St. in downtown Quincy along with the 35th anniversary of the Plumas District Hospital Volunteers group. The extra space allowed volunteers to add a furniture section and expand the selection of clothing (which will be half-off during the open house) and footwear for the entire family, gently used books, videos and DVDs, household items and more.
Gentle yoga workshop offered
The Quincy Yoga and Wellness Center is offering a special one-day gentle yoga workshop for healing the mind, body and spirit Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. “The focus is on deep relaxation and healing,” said visiting instructor Annalisa Cunningham. All levels of fitness and flexibility are welcome, including people with injuries or illness. Space is limited. To register call Jane Steidel at 283-3536 or Cunningham at 343-9944. There will be a potluck lunch between the morning and afternoon sessions. The center is located at 1690 E. Main St. in East Quincy, above Papa’s Donuts.

Terry Moore, chef and proprietor of Coyote Bar & Grill in Graeagle, is back for his 16th season serving lunch and his famous Southwestern dinner items. The steakhouse, featuring certified black Angus beef, sports new menu selections including Mexican classics: tacos, enchiladas, burritos and tostadas. It is currently open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

The crew has been busy this winter getting ready for the season, which starts May 4. Owner Trish Wilburn went to the Western/English Trade Show in Denver, Colo., in January for more gift store items and then on to the Dude Ranchers Convention in Wickenburg, Ariz. In February, she participated in the Santa Clara Travel Show, while Cynthia Carreon and Lindsey Stokes set up a display at the Reno Bridal Show.Bonnie McNeil is the newest addition to our office staff. The team is looking forward to the summer season with horseback riding, weddings and several special events on tap.
