Obituaries for the week of 10/10/2012

Viktoria Lina Smith
My beautiful Viktoria passed peacefully in her sleep by my loving side Aug. 11, 2012.

Born Aug. 3, 1967, Viktoria began her long journey through life in and out of physician care for the better part of her life. But with her great will and strong-headedness, she fought to make the most of every day and would always put a smile on someone’s face. By her own voice she stated that the best and happiest period of her life was when we met, and every day thereafter. When in fact, it was me who was blessed to be loved and cherished by her. I am eternally grateful for knowing and loving you. You made me a better and more understanding man.

Viktoria leaves behind her beloved partner, Larry McKee, of Quincy; her sister Cindy Bennett and her loving husband Randy and their beautiful children, of Chico; her brother Wolfgang Smith and his family, of Sacramento; her brother Johnny Smith and his family, of Vietnam; cousin and bestest pal Patty, of Greenville; bestest friends “Krisity” Ann and “her Lori,” of Greenville; and Shirley and Kirk, Jeanette, Leah and many, many others, too many to list. You know who you are and she loved you all. In conclusion: Viktoria, good luck on your new journey and I will be seeing you. But not yet.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Oct. 20, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Gansner Park in Quincy for family and close friends. For more information call 530-927-8656.
