Man killed in tree-falling accident

A 27-year-old man was killed Thursday morning, Sept. 27, while falling trees near Seneca.

According to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, the man, whose identity has not been released, was killed after being struck by a falling tree.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was reportedly an employee of Davey Tree Service.
