Attendees can once again savor the ‘Taste of Plumas’
Plumas Arts cordially invites everyone to come and enjoy the eighth annual Taste of Plumas on April 12 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Attendees can “spend a lovely spring evening surrounded by artfully crafted culinary delights and libations, among an amiable gathering of friends and neighbors coming together to support an important community organization,” according to Plumas Arts Director Roxanne Valladao.
Taste of Plumas also presents a silent auction of creative and unique items and services to add to the festive nature of the evening.
This event is a very important fundraiser for Plumas Arts, the organization that brings art programs to the schools and events and performances to local audiences; maintains a cultural events calendar; works collaboratively with county organizations, businesses and groups; presents Words & Music; and keeps the Town Hall Theatre open. Plumas Arts recently re-created the historic Capitol Saloon into a cultural center and gallery that features the work of more than 75 artists.
The presale price for the tasting is $35, which includes a souvenir wine glass. Plumas Arts members pay a discounted $30 admission.
If tickets are not sold out, the price goes up to $40 for all tickets April 4. Tickets are available at Quincy Natural Foods and the Capitol Arts Gallery at 525 Main St. in Quincy. To purchase online, visit plumasarts.org; to charge by phone, call Plumas Arts at 283-3402.
