The Plumas County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution recognizing water rights in the county and pledging to take them into account when conducting or approving watershed restoration projects in the county at a Tuesday, April 5, meeting.
Flood Control and Water Conservation District Manager Brian Morris brought the resolution before the board.

Those who travel into Plumas National Forest via Lights Creek Road in Indian Valley may experience delays for a few weeks. Helicopter logging began Wednesday, April 6, on the Cairn MP Fire Salvage Sale, part of the area burned in the Moonlight Wildfire. There will be traffic control on County Road 213, the Lights Creek Road, due to logs being flown overhead.

Plumas County Library is offering “Grant-Seeking Basics” Friday, April 15, from 9:30 a.m. – noon in the Quincy Library meeting room. This is a reschedule of the workshop which was cancelled in March due to illness.
The workshop will provide guidelines for identifying potential funders, and will provide training in the Foundation Center’s comprehensive online database. Attendees will learn how to create customized searches to develop targeted lists of foundations that will match their organization’s funding needs.
